The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) produces an annual report which summarizes the recommendations, testimony, and dialogue from the government-to-government tribal consultations, held pursuant to Public Law 109-162, Title IX, Section 903 of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2005, as amended. Please note that the consultation summary reports do not reflect the opinions or positions of the U.S. Department of Justice; rather, they provide a comprehensive overview of the testimony received. These documents have no force or effect of law and do not create any legally binding rights or obligations on persons or entities.
