Announcing FY25 and FY26 Funding Opportunities from the Office of Justice Programs’ Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
The Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs is pleased to announce Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) below:
BJA FY26 Second Chance Act Community based Reentry Program
This opportunity will support community based organizations and tribal governments to provide mentoring and transitional services for people returning to communities from adult correctional facilities and who are assessed as moderate to high risk for recidivism. Services may be provided pre and/or post-release. The Second Chance Act of 2007 and the First Step Act of 2018 authorize federal grants to facilitate reentry services and programs for people leaving incarceration. In FY 2026, BJA is releasing six NOFOs to support adults reentering the community and enhance public safety in different ways. Applicants are welcome to seek funding through more than one NOFO.

OVW’s Disability Grant Program helps Tribal governments and organizations, states, local governments, and certain nonprofit organizations enhance direct services to – and provide training and information on domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, and caregiver abuse against – individuals with disabilities and Deaf people.

OVC FY26 Housing Assistance for Victims of Human Trafficking
This opportunity will fund organizations that provide housing and associated support services to victims of human trafficking as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 7102(11). The primary focus of this program is to provide rapid rehousing (i.e., transitional housing and supportive services that assist human trafficking victims in moving as quickly as possible into permanent housing and achieving stability).

OVC FY26 Integrated Services for Minor Victims of Human Trafficking
This opportunity will fund projects to enhance the availability, quality, and delivery of services to assist minor victims of human trafficking as defined in 22 U.S.C. § 7102(11). To address the safety, security, and healing of minor victims of sex and labor trafficking, services should be tailored to their specific needs. These young victims have often been in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems and may have been victimized in multiple ways both before and during the time they were trafficked. Organizations funded under this program are expected to propose programs adapted to the developmental stages of children and youth.

OVC FY26 Preventing Trafficking of Girls
This opportunity will support prevention and early intervention services for girls who are at risk of, or are victims of, human trafficking as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 7102(11). Services may be provided to girls and young women up to and including age 25. Applicants should address how they will be prepared to serve survivors of all types of
human trafficking, including both sex trafficking and labor trafficking. See Appendix A for types of services that OVC funds.

OVC FY26 Services for Victims of Human Trafficking
This opportunity will develop, expand, and strengthen
victim service programs for victims of human trafficking, as defined by 22 U.S.C. §
7102(11). Victims of human trafficking frequently require a wide range of services to address their individual needs. Studies have shown that individuals who experience human trafficking are at risk for mental and/or physical health issues, dependence on drugs or alcohol, unemployment, involvement with the justice system, and other negative consequences. This program provides funding for comprehensive and specialized services for victims of all forms of human trafficking in the United States and its territories.

BJAFY26 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program—Local Formula
This opportunity will provide formula funding to eligible units of local government to, in general, support hiring additional personnel and/or purchase equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice or civil proceedings, including for any one or more of the eleven program areas. OVC FY26 Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking

BJA FY26 Daniel Anderl Judicial Security and Privacy Program
This opportunity supports states and units of local government, including tribal governments that perform law enforcement functions, in creating and expanding efforts to protect the safety and security of federal judges by
preventing the release of covered information about at-risk individuals and their immediate family members to ensure federal judges are able to administer justice fairly without fear of personal reprisal from individuals affected by the decisions they make in the course of carrying out their public duties.
